40 craftsman riding mower 42 inch deck belt diagram
I have a craftsman lt1000 with a 42 inch deck. I bought it used and just realized that it originally had a 38" deck. Should I use a 1/2" by 95.5" belt? I had a 95 3/8" belt on before but it ripped in two after a couple months and did seem a little tight. Can anyone help me out and possibly have a part number so I can find it? I have a Craftsman T240 46-In Riding Mower and the deck belt keeps slipping off, but only when disengaged. When it’s engaged, everything seems to operate just fine and it stays on pretty tight. The belt is not that old, it’s probably only 9 months old, and has been used to mow the yard 10 times. No cracks or anything on the belt. I am however, not very gentle — so I’m assuming something has been knocked loose when running over a stick or something. I did get the blade stuck on a root when I firs...
I need help diagnosing the issue with my mower. The mower will start but will randomly stall in about a few seconds or sometimes it'll run up to like 15 minutes. Sometimes I can start it up maybe once afterwards with the same results, but after that the battery doesn't have enough juice to start it up again. At first, I thought it was just a bad battery as even the rep at the AutoZone said it was. Once I put in the new battery, it ran fine without issues until it was time to mow again the next w...

It was replaced with the correct one and then after it was replaced, the mower will no longer disengage the blades. After some research, a common problem was the idler arm plate would get some groves that needed to be flattened. I just replaced the plate completely. The idler pulley moves in and out of place as it should when using the engaging lever, but the belt keeps spinning. There is less tension on the belt... Hi everyone, I have an 8 year old Craftsman push mower that still has the original blades. I hate the hassle of maintenance. I mean, it's is reliable so no complaint there but I am considering getting a battery push more for the parts of my yard (field?) that my tractor cannot reach in a safe manner. What are your thoughts and recommendations on battery mowers? I have been looking at Hart (WalMart brand Ryobi - found this out online), Ryobi, Greenworx, and a few others. I only need it to mow a...
Craftsman riding mower 42 inch deck belt diagram. My blades are stuck in engaged mode but it used to work with the old deck belt. Now the mower tries to start but can't. The new belt is very tight. Please help me my backyard is becoming into a jungle. Hi, I've got an old craftsman that I was driving, put it in neutral to open a gate and when i went to engage it again it wouldn't move. It'll go to neutral and can be pushed back and forth, can go into a gear and hard to push, but it won't engage a gear and drive. Transmission is a peerless 920-033. Also, is there a place to see which spicer are interchangable with peerless, if they are? I've done my youtube browsing and the shifting lever isn't caught, the wheel keys should still be in as... I have a circa 1980's craftsman ride on lawmower, model # 944.605.123 Near as I can tell from the pdf's of manuals to me the OEM belt (part number 106085x) is a 1/2"x79" V belt. The issue I am having is that even with the blades engaged, the belt is particularly slack, to the point that the blades do not spin up imediately, and will slip and stall under load. As I acquired the mower used, I have no idea if the deck is OEM, or a replacement. I have adjusted the rock shaft assembly to apply th... Thankfully it stuck after I finished my first mow of the season. Right after that, when you press the throttle to go forward, it sticks and just keeps going forward. Same thing if I get it into reverse. Doesn't make any horrible noises thankfully. Is it a simple case of clean and lubricate or is it something a professional should fix?

I was gifted a non running Craftsman 42" 18.5HP B&S OHV Intek riding mower. I replaced just about everything on it qnd now it runs like a champ! It's got new oil/air/fuel filters, fuel lines, fuel sending unit, plugs, battery, ignition switch, and ignition solenoid. I also cleaned the coils/flywheel and the carb. I found a user manual online via serial/model number... But I don't know if it's the right one. Each wheel and pulley corresponds to the diagram, but the belt just doesn't fit even after taking the tension spring off. I did my best to match up the broken belt to a new belt, but I just feel like there needs to be like 2 to 3 in longer in order for me to get it back on.. is there any standard way to put a belt back on? So about a month ago I removed my mower deck to replace a drive belt. Since then the cut has been uneven and not nearly as clean as it used to be. If I’m raising the left side to match the right side, the right side will lower as I do it. The opposite side doesn’t stay the same height when I try to adjust them. After I do get them to match, the deck shifts and becomes uneven again while I’m riding around. The front and back can apparently be raised or lowered with a bolt, but the bolt literally ...
I have on older Craftsman riding mower (model #917.27664) that's been a rugged work horse for years. Bought it from an wealthier, elderly gentleman who couldn't move on his feet anymore. I've neglected it, so I gave it some overdue DIY maintenance. Plenty to do on the mowing deck, but on the engine I replaced the oil and oil filter, cleaned the air filter, and replaced the spark plug. Nothing major. Note that it started up just fine before I did any maintenance... First odd thing I noticed was ... Hi everyone, I have an 8 year old Craftsman push mower that still has the original blades.
