Fairly self explanatory, i need to replace my actuator and i was wondering if i could pull one off of a 95-98 k1500 In the last week or so, random problems that I believe to be electrical have popped up, including the failing of the Odometer and Speedometer. Update as of September 04 2020. SOLVED! After digging around the wiring system looking for issues I finally found it... there is a ground on the spare tire bracket under the bed. This ground has a ground wire from the trailer accessories harness and the ground for the rear tail light harnesss. So a total of two ground wires attached. The thermal actuator came first, when you engage 4WD there is a soft piece of plastic, maybe even wax that has to heat up before the actuator engages. The electric version came out in 98 or so and engages immediately. Myself, if I had that series of truck, I'd install a Posi-Lok and be done with it.
